LaSpeak was born out of a personal experience. When a friend fell ill, I wanted to gift her something that truly reflected my sentiments. Knowing her love for a specific, hard-to-find chocolate, I embarked on an extensive online search until I discovered a supplier located 1.5 hours away in a small specialty shop that didn’t offer delivery services. Despite the challenging journey, I persevered, purchased the chocolates, and headed back home feeling excited, but also exhausted and somewhat defeated.
Upon presenting the chocolates on the day of my visit, she politely thanked me but placed them on the kitchen bench, seemingly indifferent. I felt disheartened as I had hoped the gesture would convey how much her friendship meant to me.
